Intel hari ini telah mengumumkan bahwa prosesor generasi ke-7 Kaby Lake yang akan menjadi bagian dari pengumuman acara CES dari mereka, akan segera hadir di upgrade Mac yang akan datang di masa depan.
Kaby Lake akan diluncurkan (launching) resmi pada Agustus 2017 mendatang dan sudah akan ada beberapa daftar produk baru yang akan diperkenalkan bersamaan dengan chip Kaby Lake terbaru tersebut.
Intel juga tidak ketinggalan mengumumkan bahwa lini komputer Mac seperti MacBook dan desktop iMac juga akan segera menggunakan prosesor Intel 7th Gen ini. Salah satu fitur Kaby Lake ini adalah performa dan kinerja yang meningkat hingga 20 persen di laptop dan 25 persen di desktop.
Lineup tersebut juga akan termasuk U-series yang bertenaga rendah yang sanga cocok untuk MacBook generasi terbaru mendatang, sementara H-series lebih ditujukan ke laptop dengan performa tinggi. Y-series baru yang dibuat untuk komputer detachables dan S-Series untuk Semua chip tersebut support Thunderbolt 3.
